Why This Club Exists

Worthy Pursuits Mastermind started the way most good things do — from a real need, not a business plan.

Carter Brown spent five years building a venture-backed startup called GoGuide. He raised over a million dollars, learned every lesson the hard way, and came out the other side with one crystal-clear insight: the entrepreneurs who win aren't the smartest — they're the ones who aren't doing it alone.

Spence Trick was on a parallel track — building businesses, leading teams, and running into the same wall. They connected over a shared frustration: every "mastermind" and "community" they joined felt transactional. Name-drop heavy. Surface level. Neither of them had found a group where the guys actually showed up for each other — in business and in life.

So they built one.

What started as a handful of friends doing retreats together became something bigger. Worthy Pursuits Mastermind exists because Carter and Spence believe entrepreneurship should be a worthy pursuit — one that makes you better as a man, a leader, and a builder. Not just richer.
